HACKSPACE
RECONFIGURABLE PANELLING SYSTEM
Cities are inhabited by many yet designed by few. The spaces we inhabit are hard-wired, inaccessible for most people to shape.
The project proposes an architectural product; a technological commodity to be owned, engaged with, and innovated upon.
A modular panelling system that can be serviced flexibly, catering to different performances and needs. Different assemblages can achieve different environmental and spatial conditions. Users can create and customize their own spaces in terms of its dimensions, scale and partitioning. Architecture is democratized and as a result existing spaces, previously considered inaccessible or unworthy for development, are appropriated and come to life.
